DIGITRIPS Semester Highlights S1 2026: a stronger presence in Europe, ever closer to travel professionals

The first half of 2026 marked an important milestone for the DIGITRIPS Group.

As the group celebrates its 10th anniversary in the Travel Tech ecosystem, the past few months have been punctuated by numerous meetings with travel industry players, reinforced development in several European markets and growing involvement in the professional communities shaping the future of travel.

From international trade shows to workshops in the field, from sector studies to solidarity initiatives, here’s a look back at the highlights of the early part of the year.

A symbolic year: travel tech DIGITRIPS celebrates its 10th anniversary

The beginning of 2026 marked the end of the DIGITRIPS ten years of DIGITRIPS !

Since its creation, the DIGITRIPS group has developed a complete tech ecosystem for travel distribution, supporting travel agencies, networks, e-commerce platforms, loyalty programs, CSEs and tourism players in their digital transformation.

This anniversary campaign was an opportunity to look back on a decade of growth, innovation and partnerships, while sharing our vision for the coming years: increasingly flexible, connected and international travel distribution.

DIGITRIPS 10 years of travel tech

Smile Angels loyalty program gets a facelift

The tenth anniversary of DIGITRIPS was also the occasion for Smile Angels, the loyalty program for travel agents, to give itself a new, more modern graphic identity, as warm as ever.

The program is aimed at travel agents who use the DIGITRIPS Pro platform, and enables them to benefit from advantages while declaring their booking files on the tool.

Meeting Europe’s Travel Tech industry

Because innovation comes first and foremost from exchanges with the market, the DIGITRIPS teams took part in several European travel distribution meetings.

FITUR Madrid and ITB Berlin

The start of the year was marked by our participation in FITUR Madrid and ITB Berlin, two key events for the global tourism industry, with the presence of Vicki Wickens, VP International Growth, representing the DIGITRIPS Group.

These meetings enabled our teams to exchange views with hundreds of industry players – airlines, technology suppliers, travel agencies, tourist offices and international partners – on the major market transformations: air distribution, NDC, loyalty, personalization and new traveler expectations.

AfterX by TravelGate

DIGITRIPS also strengthened its presence within the distribution ecosystem by sponsoring for the first time the Travelgate AfterX, a key event bringing together the main players in tourism connectivity, in Mallorca at the beginning of June. This was an excellent opportunity to meet up with the many supplier partners in the hotel distribution sector.

Travel Tech: getting closer to travel agencies

Travel agencies remain at the heart of DIGITRIPS’ DNA, with the DIGITRIPS Pro solutions universe. Throughout the first half of the year, a number of initiatives were undertaken to strengthen exchanges with industry professionals.

Webinars to support DIGITRIPS Pro users

In collaboration with several of our tourism partners(Air Austral and Air Tahiti Nui), the DIGITRIPS Pro teams organized several webinars dedicated to travel agents registered on the platform.

In addition, numerous sales challenges have been launched in partnership with airlines and partner tourist offices. Some travel agents have even been invited to participate in eductours – the latest of which was jointly organized by Transavia, Visit Alentejo and DIGITRIPS Pro in May.

The aim of these events is to share destination news, highlight partner offers and enable travel agents to develop their knowledge and business opportunities.

Events with partner airlines

Alongside Air Europa, Lufthansa and Qatar Airways, several workshops and webinars enabled travel agents to find out more about the company’s offer, its new products and the opportunities offered by new forms of air distribution, all in a convivial atmosphere. The aim continues to be to bring together travel agents and distributors belonging to the DIGITRIPS and DIGITRIPS Pro networks, in order to streamline the travel distribution chain.

Giving voice to the field: the Travel Agents 2026 survey

Understanding the needs of tourism professionals remains a major challenge for DIGITRIPS Pro, as we continue to develop our solutions.

With this in mind, DIGITRIPS has launched a business survey dedicated to travel agents (French), to identify their main challenges, expectations and priorities for the years ahead.

The findings of this study feed directly into our thinking about products and our vision of the market, and the survey is always available to download :

Sharing trends in the travel tech sector

For several years now, DIGITRIPS Pro has partnered with leading tourism media to offer educational content to tourism professionals:

  • with L’Echo Touristique magazine, DIGITRIPS publishes monthly trend barometers for the French market. Which destinations work? How do travelers behave in terms of anticipating air ticket purchases? How are ticket prices evolving from France, and in what geopolitical and economic context? The barometers are free to read and are published monthly.
  • With Tourmag magazine, DIGITRIPS Pro offers educational content in a monthly format for French travel agents. Latest articles: What do travel agents expect from their partners? What tips can you use to find the right hotel for your customer? How are short breaks and extended weekends a real growth driver for agents?

Travel Tech in Europe: accelerating international expansion

The first half also confirmed the DIGITRIPS group’s European ambitions, with the arrival of travel distribution expert Vicki Wickens at the end of 2025.

A stronger travel tech presence in the Belux market

DIGITRIPS continued to expand in Belgium and Luxembourg through a number of local initiatives.

Participation in the Lux Travel Hub and Avitour events, and the organization of an exceptional regional roadshow in Belgium’s emblematic stadiums, have strengthened ties with Benelux travel professionals and supported the development of DIGITRIPS Pro activities in this strategic and dynamic market, where our solutions are well known.

DIGITRIPS was once again recognized for the quality of its service and solutions, with two awards: the TAG d’Or for the best event of the year, awarded to DIGITRIPS Pro Belux, and the TAG d’Or for the best digital company, awarded to DIGITRIPS.

Join the travel tech networks shaping tomorrow’s tourism

At the same time, DIGITRIPS has joined a number of major professional organizations in the field of customer loyalty in Europe in the first half of 2026:

  • European Loyalty Association (ELA)
  • Incentive Marketing Association Europe (IMA Europe)
  • Global Business Travel Association (GBTA)
  • and the Institute of Travel Management (ITM)

These new memberships testify to the determination of DIGITRIPS, with its DIGITRIPS Partners solutions universe, to make an active contribution to the discussions structuring the loyalty, employee benefits and business travel sectors on a European scale.

Develop exchanges with the Employee Benefits ecosystem

In addition to the traditional tourism sector, DIGITRIPS is also pursuing its development with employee benefits players (CSE, inter-CSE in France).

Numerous employee benefits partners were invited to the anniversary party organized by DIGITRIPS last March in Paris.

These meetings confirm the sector’s growing interest in integrated travel solutions within employee service platforms.
